Passage de la rue Mouffetard au marché des Patriarches

Not to be confused with Passage des Patriarches. Previously, Rue de l'Arbalète, quite wide, reached Rue Mouffetard and ended there. Further to the Patriarchal Market Marché des Patriarches there was this narrow nameless passage. So the word “passage” is used in the title in the literal sense – passage, through passage – and that’s all. Not a toponym. Only in 1924 did Arbalet Street get its modern look: it was extended and expanded.
