E. 34th Street, north side, east from Third Avenue, showing mainly the frontage between the Second and Third Avenue "El" lines. In the center is U. S. Post Office Station "F', the site of which is proposed as the entrance to the Midtown Queens Tunnel under the East River. The several high stooped houses (No's 215-219) adjoining same on the west, were demolished in May-June 1939. January 7, 1939
