Visible in the photo are the City Health Department building (formerly the City Hospital addition, 1889) and the Rotary Clinic (1919, partially visible) on the left and the Central Public School (1890-1948) in the center (demolished to make way for the Vancouver Vocational Institute (built 1948-49)). The Vancouver Sun Tower (originally the World Tower, 1912) is on the extreme left on the SE corner (only its sign is visible).
