Australien > New South Wales > SofalaSofala is the oldest surviving gold town in Australia and is located in the Turon River Valley near Bathurst.There are two streets of well preserved buildings from the height of the gold rush. It all began in 1851 when up to 10,000 people were living in a tent city which stretched for 16kms along the main street.
