"A million dollar municipal undertaking, the Municipal Abattoir, situated on Sawgin Road, is being leased to the Shanghai Livestock Market Company, a Japanese organization, it was announced yesterday. The inspection of all meat killed will continue to be under the supervision of the Public Health Department. Photo shows a section of the Abattoir from the side housing the cold storage plant."
