Photograph caption dated December 24, 1987 reads, "Mount Baldy has never looked better. Strong winds yesterday cleared the air over the Southland and made for this spectacular view of downtown from Baldwin Hills. With the clear skies came chilly temperatures, with a Civic Center high of 57 and low of 47 yesterday. Weather will continue cool into this holiday weekend, with highs expected today in the upper 50s and lows dropping into the 30s. Partly cloudy skies should clear today and Christmas Day, with northerly winds at 15 to 30 mph. This weekend should be mostly sunny and slightly warmer."
