Photograph caption dated June 6, 1964 reads, "Motorists driving on the San Diego Freeway between Nordhoff and Devonshire streets have been intrigued for weeks by a dome-shaped building off the freeway on the west. The interesting building is the new Valley Unitarian-Universalist Church at 9550 Haskell Ave., Sepulveda. The first service in the new church is scheduled for Sept. 20, according to the Rev. Paul W. Sawyer, minister of the church."
