On September 23, 1906, the solemn opening of the monument to Henri Saint -ramm - one of the main figures of the Second Republic in the Izer department. A bronze bas-relief with the image of Henri Saint-Rammma of the sculptor Auguste Davens was attached to the pedestal. The Monitor is crowned with the “statue of freedom” by Frederick-Ogust Bartoldi, donated by the famous sculptor to his friend Mathieu, the son of Henry (well, Mathieu proposed his idea of installing the monument -The monument itself was built by subscription members of the commission. I liked the idea). There are still reduced copies of the famous statue in France: in Paris, Poitiers, Saint-Sir-Sur-Mer, Saint-Etienne, Cambrena, Cermine, Brenten, Constelled , Kleerke and Lunel.
