Looking southwest across the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Catalina Street. A Foster and Kleiser billboard is seen outside of 3350 Wilshire (left) and the three 12-story office buildings of Tishman Plaza (later Central Plaza) at 3440, 3450, and 3460 Wilshire Boulevard are seen right of center. Photograph dated June 17, 1952. The structure at 3350 Wilshire was originally the home of Marco Hellman. Up until around 1950, it was occupied by the Samaritan Institution, a treatment center for alcoholics. It was replaced by another structure in 1957.
