The apartment house at 1170 Bellevue Avenue where William Edward Hickman is asserted to have lived. A blood-stained towel monogrammed "Bellevue Arms Apartments" was found at the kidnapping drop site. Police found Hickman in the apartment that night but decided not to arrest him until a reward would be offered two days later. Meanwhile he escaped and was found by police in Oregon. Marion Parker was believed to have been killed in this building.
