Switzerland Switzerland > Geneva > Geneva
The whole left part of the future of the income boulevard will remain almost unchanged, and all the ancient fortification structures on the right will leave in 1860 in order to free the place for Jacques-Dalcrose Boulevard, the museum of art and history and school of the caasemates. The wall of the right joined the PIN bastion (visible above the wall) and the Bastion of St. Antoine. Casemates were built behind the wall in the form of large underground warehouses intended for the shelter of the military and their supplies in the case of an enemy attack.
