Photograph caption dated April 17, 1961 reads, "This block-long stretch of Woodley avenue (foreground) near the Van Nuys Airport will be officially dedicated April 25 as the Valley's "Avenue of Missiles." On display are the many missiles and satellites developed by the Lockheed Missile and Space Division. Valley civic and municipal leaders are scheduled to participate in the dedication ceremonies."
