Donjon was built in 1369-1382. on the orders of the Dukes of Brittany, Jean IV, to establish control over the city of Saint-Malo. The town is only recognized authority of the bishop and unwilling to submit to the Dukes of Brittany. With the development of military shipbuilding role towers as ground strengthening against attacks from the sea, it is being lost, and Solidor becomes tyurmoy.Seychas Museum is housed in the tower.
