Central Park West and Broadway north from 59th Street. The building in the immediate foreground, with the "Prince Albert" sign, is the American Circle Building. The next building north of it from 61st to 62nd Streets is the Mayflower Hotel, and beyond the Mayflower is the Century Theatre, demolished in 1930 for the creation of the Century Apartments. The picture gives a good view of construction work on the Eighth Avenue subway. 1927.
