The Bremen Ratskeller is a council wine cellar in the basement of the Townhall of Bremen. Since its construction in 1405, German wines have been stored and sold there. With over 600 years of existence, the Bremen Ratskeller is one of the oldest wine cellars in Germany. Since the town hall well survived World War II, not much has changed. Only the two knight statues are no longer standing today, while at the opposite southeast entrance, the two equestrian statues still keep watch.
