France > Hauts-de-France > Somme > AmiensView on the Cathedral of Amiens from the Rue des Chaudronniers after german bombing attacks in May 1940. The city had suffered massive destructions in WW2. The Cathedral had luckily been spared. Today site of UNESCO world heritage, the Cathedral is the largest one of France in terms of its inner volume, and considered as a perfection of Gothic architecture.
