Fountain, a gift to the city from the large trader (trader) Henry Estranina (Estrangin), was opened on November 30, 1890 This is the work of Joseph Lec, André-Joseph Allar and his brother, Gaudencio Allar. Fountain - an allegory of Marseille as a free trade city, while enjoying Mediterranean seafood. Mercury Sculpture with cornucopia represents trade. Along the perimeter of the six tribunes decorated with busts of the Rhone, Durance, Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Decorative elements such as garlands of fruits and flowers, as well as sculptures dolphins completed fountain
