Park Avenue, west side, south from East 34th Street, showing the Hotel Vanderbilt (erected 1911) and the office structure, No. 2 Park Avenue. Each of these occupy an entire block frontage, the the former, 34th to 33rd and the latter, 33rd to 32nd Streets. Fourth Avenue begins at the last mentioned street. Note the vague outline of the New York Life Insurance Company Building at the upper left and the partially dismantled Community Church in the lower right. The latter was replaced by the apartment-hotel No. 10 Park Avenue.
