Maximilianium, located in the urban part of the Heidhausen (German Haidhausen) of Munich, has been hosting the Maximilianeum Foundation for gifted students from the Palatinate and Bavaria since 1876. In addition, since 1949 the building has been the seat of the Bavarian Parliament. The building is located on the eastern bank of the Isar River within the direct line of sight of Maximilianstrasse Street and Maximiliansbrücke Bridge (German: Maximiliansbrücke). The Maximilianium Terrace is a beautiful observation deck and a point of view of the city.
