A sunny day in spring 1965 in Vondelpark. Vondelpark (Netherlands. Vondelpark) is a 47 hectare (120 acres) public city park in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The park was opened in 1865 and was originally called Nieuwe Park, but was later renamed Vondelpark, in honor of the 17th-century playwright Jost van den Vondel. About 10 million people visit the park annually. The park has a cinema museum, an open-air theater, a playground.
