Crystal Palace (Eng. Crystal Palace) in London Hyde Park was built in 1850-1851 from iron and glass for the World Exhibition in 1851. An exhibition hall with an area of ​​over 90,000 square meters, with a length of 564 m and a height of 33 m, built under the direction of Joseph Paxton, accommodated up to 14,000 visitors. At the end of the exhibition, the Palace was dismantled and moved to a new place, in the London suburb of Sydney Hill. On November 30, 1936, the Crystal Palace was destroyed by fire and was not rebuilt.
