Esztergom Cathedral is the tallest building in Hungary and the largest church in the country. Basilica of St. Adalbert, Esztergom Basilica - full name: Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Adalbert. In the list of the largest churches in the world takes 18th place. The length of the structure is 118 m, width - 49 m and height - 100 m. The basilica is located on a high hill on the banks of the Danube, which visually increases its height. The temple was built in 1822-1856. in the neoclassical style and has a cruciform shape. The massive dome, 71.5 m high and 33.5 m in diameter, is located on a light drum with 12 windows.
