Rows of skis await pupils at Snow Valley in the Big Bear Lake region above San Bernardino. Several inches of snow-and plenty of instructors-are promised prospective skiers at Angeles Crest, Big Pines, Wrightwood, Mt. Baldy and Inyo-Mono areas. Ski schools at most resort areas are certified by the Far West Ski Instructors Association. Equipment may be rented at most places." Snow Valley Mountain Resort is in Running Springs, California.
