Salisbury Cathedral is the tallest of Britain’s medieval buildings. It was laid in 1220 and consecrated in 1258, although the final completion of all work was only in the first quarter of the XIV century. The spire of the Salisbury Cathedral, completed in 1320, is the highest among the surviving spiers, built in England before 1400, its height is 123 m.
