The latter is at the right and the entrance to same partially shown. Note the Maine Monument there. The triangular two-story structure in the center is the American Circle Building. This divides the thoroughfares and stands on the former site of the old Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Station. To the rear of same is W. 60th Street. North of this and facing the Park is the Mayflower Hotel (erected 1921). Geographically, Central Park West is Eighth Avenue, an identity it resumes, south of this point, and north of 11th Street.
