View of Pacific National Bank at Hill and 9th. Behind it is the Insurance Exchange Building, also on 9th. On the southeast corner construction is underway for a large commercial building. Pacific National is surrounded by smaller buildings: hotels (Hotel Alpin across the street), business schools (Holman Business College), art store (Green's Art Store). The building is a Renaissance Revival design in three parts: a vertical office block with rusticated base and a cap featuring 2-story arched windows and was built in 1926. Architects: Morgan Walls & Clements. The building was declared a Landmark of Los Angeles, March 1, 1988. Photo dated: Mar. 10, 1927.
