This palace and park ensemble was formed by 1624 and for many centuries belonged to one of the oldest genera of Germany - the Don. In the years 1696-1736. the castle was rebuilt in baroque forms. The last owner of the castle, Prince Alexander zu Dona-Schlobitten (1899-1997), managed to evacuate a significant part of the property in 1945, but the castle itself was soon looted and burned.
