March 1, 1815 at three o'clock Napoleon landed in the bay of Golfe-Juan, accompanied by a small army (from 600 to 1200-minded men), escaped from captivity (exile) on the island of Elba. Customs guards arrived just welcomed the Emperor. The subsequent return to Paris and another military campaign Napoleon, which ended with the final defeat at Waterloo, became known as the "hundred days". In honor of this drop-off in 1848 was a memorial column with a bust of Napoleon at the top. Subsequently the column was transferred to another corner area
