The new guard under the linden trees. It was built according to F. Schinkel in 1816-1818. On the left and right the monuments of Bülow and Scharnhorst. In front of the new guard, a guard is raised? Schinkel's conception combines the architectural design of the military building with the memory of the Wars of Liberation in 1813-15. Part of this design are the marble statues of the generals Friedrich Wilhelm Bülow from Denewitz (left) and Gerhard Johann David von Scharnhorst (right) from the workshop Christian Daniel Rauch on socket by Schinkel.MI II World War II.
