This photograph was taken atop the Silver Dome building, looking east towards Old Tampa Bay. By this time many improvements and landscaping had been done to the pavilion and sanatorium, after being purchased in a tax sale by Dr. Albin Jansik, an Austrian-born physician. Mounds of dredged sand can be seen in the background brought in for the bather's beach, as improvements were still in progress at the time of this photo.
