In 1908, a native of Kronberg, an amateur photographer, Julius Gustav Neubronner (1852-1932) invented his unusual invention: a miniature camera mounted using special straps on carrier pigeons. During the flight of a trained pigeon, the camera took pictures at regular intervals.
