The Red Town Hall (German: Rotes Rathaus) was built in 1861-1869. The height of the tower is 74 meters. During the Second World War, the building was destroyed. Restored in the years 1951-1958. After restoration in the Red Town Hall was located Magistrate East Berlin East Germany. Since October 1, 1991, here is the seat of the government (Senate) of the united state of Berlin and the workplace of the mayor. The fountain of Neptune is visible.
