Also visible are the Harbor Freeway (110), Barker Brothers building (middle right), and Rex Arms Hotel ('behind' the Statler). Photographed for Union Oil Company on October 25, 1955. The Statler Hilton Hotel, located at 930 Wilshire Boulevard and 7th, was built by Holabird, Root & Burgee of Chicago. Barker Brothers building, located at 818 W. 7th Street, was built in 1925 and designed by Curlett and Beelman.
