Lion Statues in Vake Park

In 1976, the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic was part of the USSR. The images show the Vake Park as seen from the entrance of the park. The statues and the fountains are still the same. However, since the date of the older image, a world war 2 memorial has been constructed at the top of the stairs. The hill can be reached with an old cable car.
