The new 43-story Continental Illinois Center (520 Madison Avenue Building. 1982). May 1983The plaza in front of the 53rd Street entrance has a waterfall as well as a sidewalk clock. There is also a portion of the torn-down Berlin Wall on display. This building takes the form of a typical rectangular tower although here it has been sheathed in an expensive, polished red granite skin.
