A cross being hoisted to the roof during the expansion of Trinity Lutheran Church in San Pedro. The church received an anonymous $25,000 donation in 1969 which initiated a fundraising drive to expand the church. The donation was left in an unmarked manila envelope on the church doorstep. A note quoting a passage from the Corinthains was with the donation. Trinity Lutheran Church, at 1450 West 7th Street, was founded in 1921 by families of Norwegian ancestry.
