Construction of the Ville de Paris department store at the corner of 7th and Olive. Scaffolding for construction elevators is on both sides of the building. The building is brick-faced with windows, doors and accents in white. Construction rubble is in the street. Horse-drawn wagons loaded with material are at the curb. A poster displaying a rendering of the new building is on the corner of the construction wall. The ads on the portico read "reinforced concrete construction", "thoroughly fireproof", and "6 floors, 2 basements". Hammond Lumber Co., Wagner-Woodruff Co., and Thomas Haverty Company are businesses displayed as involved with the construction. The store later became B. H. Dyas Co.
