Further to the Patriarchal Market Marché des Patriarches there was this narrow nameless passage. So the word “passage” is used in the title in the literal sense – passage, through passage – and that’s all. Not a toponym. Only in 1924 did Arbalet Street get its modern look: it was extended and expanded.
