Tashkent teachers 'seminary was opened in 1879 in Tashkent and was originally called the teachers' seminary Turkestan. In 1920 was transformed into the Regional Institute of Uzbek men prosvescheniya.V seminary were studied: the law of God, education, Russian language, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, physics, science, world history, geography, drawing, calligraphy, singing, music, crafts, gymnastics , Kazakh and Persian languages. Since 1884 on the initiative of VPNalivkin was introduced instead of teaching the Uzbek language Kazakh.
