Kryussoley Renaissance Palace, the birthplace of the famous Chevalier d'Eon, or de Yeon (Charles de Beaumont / d'Éon de Beaumont 1728-1810) - a secret agent who spent the first half of his life as a man, and the second half - as a woman. In his memoirs he says that as a child he was dressed as a boy, even though he was a girl: the presence of a male heir has become a condition of inheritance from maternal relatives. After graduating with honors from the College Mazarin in Paris, d'Eon got a job as a clerk in the tax administration. Seven years later, he was recruited by a secret network of French diplomats ( "Royal Secret").
