New York Mayor Robert Wagner (2nd from right) cuts the ribbon to formally open the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Ceremony attendees include Wall Street financier Bernard Baruch (center, wearing coat and hat), Mrs. Frank Lloyd Wright (next to mayor), widow of the museum's architect, and Harry Guggenheim (right), nephew of Solomon R. Guggenheim. October 21, 1959.
