Park Avenue, south from 56th Street. Compare with the same scene in 1905.The only buildings in common to both pictures are the small ones on the west side between 54th and 53rd Streets, just above the Racquet and Tennis Club. The building on the S. E. corner of 57th Street, to extreme left, was also there but is not included in the 1905 picture. The parks in the center of the Avenue will shortly be narrowed to make from for more traffic, and work on the New York Central Building, across the avenue from 46th to 45th Streets, will begin.
