The name is by the name of the first owner (and the initiator of construction), the rich Grenoble Industrialist Alphonse Terray. Now the official name is CHâteau de Beaurevoir, earlier at different times named. Château de Beauregard or Château des côtes. There was a feudal lock of the 12th century. Château des ceth (coastal lock/lock on the shore). The current castle was built in 1880 by the Grenoble architects of Chatrousse and Ricoud. It is interesting that stones from the old castle went to the construction of this building.a.terray owned this castle until 1914, then, after several owners, in 1948 the castle redeemed the control of the railways and posted the departmental social service and school here. 2013, the castle and the entire estate were included in the real estate project. Now it is a complex called “Domaine de Beaurevoir”/Borevoar's estate: 93 ampartments built near the castle. Private property, for visiting it is closed
