This view looking east on Wilshire at Lucerne includes a Wilshire Lantern, a double decker bus and the Wilshire United Methodist Church. Architects Allison and Allison designed the 1924 Wilshire United Methodist Church, located at 4350 Wilshire, which has a Romanesque Revival exterior and a Gothic Revival interior. In 1973 the church was designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 114, and the complex, which includes the chapel, school, gymnasium, offices, church and community hall, is a contributing structure to the Windsor Village Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ). Architects Hunt and Burns are also listed in conjunction with this complex.
