Broadway, north from and including 32nd Street. In the centre is the old Seventy-First Regiment Armory Building, which later became the Herald Building, and now houses a clothing store. In 1928 this building will be cut in half. The southern half will stand, but the northern half will be demolished and on its site will be erected the Herald Square Building. In the left foreground is Sak's 34th Street, and above it is R. H. Macy & Company, two large department stores. In the distance is the Metropolitan Opera House, the Times Building, and the Hotel Astor. 1923.
