The Slovak National Theater on Hviezdoslav Square in Bratislava was built in 1886 according to the project of F. Fellner and H. Helmer, the sculptural decoration is the work of V. Tilgner. The Ganymede fountain in the foreground (the work of V. Tilgner and A. M. Beschorner) was donated to the theater in 1888 by the Bratislava Savings Bank.
