At the beginning of the XIX century the area Montrouge, located on a hill to the south of Paris, was sparsely populated, so in 1847, with the permission of King Louis-Philippe, in the area behind the present church was built a small chapel in honor of Saint Pierre de Petit-Montrouge. But when the economic development of the Second Empire has led to an increase in the population of this area, there was a need to build a large tserkvi.Tserkov Saint-Pierre-de-Montrouge founded in 1863 according to the plan of Baron Haussmann to transform and build churches. Completion of construction belongs to 1870 (1872?) Year. The architect of the church was the chief architect of the XIV arrondissement Joseph Auguste Émile Vaudremer.
