Westerkerk (Dutch: Westerkerk - Western Church) is a Calvinist church in Amsterdam, built in 1620-1631 according to the design of Hendrick de Keyser. Located on the banks of the Prinsengracht Canal, the church’s spire is the highest church spire in Amsterdam, with a height of 85 meters. He is crowned by the crown model of the Austrian Empire of Emperor Maximilian I. The church bells were cast by Pierre and Francois Emoney. The wings of the organ were painted by Gerard de Leress. Rembrandt was buried in the church on October 8, 1669. The exact place of his burial is unknown, but it is believed to be located at the northern wall of the church. Hendrickier Stoffels, cartographer Jan Blau, painter Nicholas Peters Burham, and possibly Rembrandt's son Titus van Rijn are also buried in the church. On March 10, 1966, Princess Beatrix and Klaus von Amsberg were married in the church. Westerkerk is located near the Anne Frank House and was described in her diary.
