On this ancient street of the XII century on the site of the house 56 (photo) was once the home of Etienne Chevalier (1410-1474) - a statesman who left his mark on history through contrived and ordered them to two as we would say today, the draft: Hours of Étienne Chevalier and Melonskomu diptihu.Melonsky diptih (1450). The painting consists of two parts, which are currently located in different cities of the left wing - in Berlin, right - in Antwerp. Experts have long assumed that the two parts of the diptych, but modern research has been able to prove the truth of this hypothesis. It was found that both the board used for writing patterns are part of the same wood - oak, felled around 1446 diptych called Melonskogo city Melun, in the cathedral of Notre Dame, which he was.
