Exterior view of Angelus Temple from Glendale Boulevard. The impressive Angelus Temple was conceived by Aimee Semple McPherson for the thousands who came to hear her preach. When Aimee passed the plates for "offerings" she pleaded for "...greenbacks, no loose change..." and got the greenbacks. Her followers believed she preached the true gospel, and opened their pocketbooks.
